This plant was a 18th birthday gift and has grown in to a fantastic specimen of a plant.
Winter Protection
This plant has been in my garden for the past 9 years and has shown no signs of wet/frost damage. The plant has shown great hardiness in the UK climate. It has survived repeated temperatures of -12˚ Celsius (while wet). I do tend to protect the crown of the plant in very frosty weather with a old blanket.
Flowers
Fortunately this plant has not yet flowered. Once the Agave flowers it then dies. This plant will not flower until 60 years old in this climate. I have seen plants of this kind grow to sizes of 7ft big in the south west of the UK.
